Playa rústica de carácter aislado a la que se accede caminando por caminos de tierra y bordeando las calas contiguas. Pertenece al Parque Natural Marítimo terrestre de Cabo de Gata-Níjar, recientemente declarado Reserva de la Biosfera.

When you arrive at Playa del Barronal, in San José, you'll understand why this beach is so popular in Almería. It stretches 500 metres in length and 37 metres wide, with fine sand and waters typical of southern Spain, with very hot summers and warm water. It's a more natural beach, without major facilities — perfect if you're looking for something quieter and more unspoiled. Please note that dogs are not allowed on this beach, especially during the high season.
